Manufacturing technology

Ventura GPL series sealed lead-acid batteries are manufactured using AGM technology (AGM technology – batteries with liquid electrolyte immersed in a fiberglass separator). The GPL series battery fiberglass separator is made of borosilicate glass, which ensures the increased porosity of the separator as well as its high resistance to high temperatures and sulfuric acid.

The overpressure valves used maintain the necessary pressure inside the casing for the course of the recombination reaction (recombination - the interaction of oxygen and hydrogen released when charged with the formation of water molecules). The recombination ratio of GPL series batteries is over 99%, which eliminates water loss during charging. As a result, batteries do not require distilled water and electrolyte density measurement throughout their lifetime.

Design features

In batteries, lubricating positive and negative plates are used. A distinctive feature of this type of plate is the simplicity of the design, low internal resistance, fast recovery of capacity.

Plate grids are made of lead alloy containing components that ensure the mechanical strength of the grid, low gas separation during the charging process and high corrosion resistance.

Special additives to the electrolyte ensure easy charging of the battery even after deep discharge.

The battery bodies are made of high-quality plastic (ABS-acrylbutadienestyrene). A feature of the design of the series batteries is the increased strength of the housing, which significantly increases the service life and prevents deformation of the plates. It is possible to order batteries with standard (NV) or enhanced (V0) flame retardant housings

Technical Specifications

The batteries of the series are produced in the form of monoblocks with a rated voltage of 12 Volts in the capacities range from 33 to 250 Ah, they are designed for operation in both continuous subcharge mode and cyclic mode.

The constant charge voltage should be maintained in the range of 2.27-2.3 V / element (at 25 ° C). It is possible to install batteries in both horizontal and vertical position. Installation on the lid (with clamps down) is not allowed.

The service life of GPL series batteries is 10-12 years.

Scope of application

The GPL series batteries are a reliable solution for a wide range of applications. These batteries are used to complete batteries used as DC sources at communications, power generation and distribution facilities, in uninterruptible power sources, in security, video surveillance, access control and management systems, in the railway, in the oil and gas industry and in other areas of industry.
